Hong Kong Transparency Report will be on the plenary session “Internet Freedom in Asia” at the Fifth Conference of Freedom Online Coalition in Ulaanbaatar on 4-5 May. The 2-day conference is organised by Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Freedom Online Coalition.

The plenary session will be moderated by Mr. David Arnold, President of Asia Foundation. Hong Kong Transparency Report’s Jennifer Zhang will be joined by Ross LaJeunesse from Google, Artem Goryainov from Kyrgyzstan Public Foundation, and Mr. Kees Van Baar, human rights ambassador of Netherlands.

A brief introduction of this session:

This session will look at the current trends in internet development throughout the region and specific trends or forces shaping the environment. It will look at the perspective of business as well as civil society with an overview from government. It will examine how internet freedom can be best supported in the region.
